What is art therapy?

Impact

There are countless benefits of art therapy, especially in seniors who suffer from dementia or mental disorders. To name a few:

  • Improves cognition

  • Provides a creative outlet to express feelings

  • Soothes and relaxes the body and mind

  • Enhances mood and general well-being

At Branching Hearts, not only do we promote these above things through our art sessions, but also boost social connection and interaction with our youth leaders and other seniors in the community.
